Giovanni Pernice has seemingly spilled on his love life when inadvertently caught up in a tangled web of questioning, all-but confirming suspicions about his new flame.
For months, rumours have swirled around Giovanni and his Strictly Come Dancing co-star Jowita Przystał, who won the competition in 2022 with her partner Hamza Yassin.
The pair appeared to confirm their romance earlier this year when they were spotted holding hands, with Giovanni later sharing: ‘I want a family one day. You just have to find the right person first.’
The 32-year-old who was victorious on Strictly in 2021 with Rose Ayling-Ellis, was asked during a new interview about his rumoured relationship with Jowita, 28.
‘This was my New Year resolution. We are not talking about anything,’ he said in response to the question from Radio Times.
The interviewer picked up on the fact that Giovanni referred to himself and Jowita collectively, asking: ‘We, so there’s a we?’
The professional dancer is then said to have ‘smiled silently’, while Strictly judge Anton Du Beke – who was in the room at the time – apparently ‘howled’ with laughter.
‘I want Gio to find love like I have. He’ll be a wonderful dad. He’s such a lovely boy. Any girl who ends up with him will be lucky,’ Anton remarked, the MailOnline reported.
‘And when he has a girlfriend, he’s very good with her. He’s committed, loyal, lovely. Everything you’d want.’
During an episode of Anton and Giovanni’s Adventures In Sicily, Giovanni shared with Anton how his mother questioned him about when he’ll settle down.
‘My mum asks me questions constantly, “Giovanni what is the situation?”,’ he said.
‘Because every time I date a girl I always tell her and say ‘What do you think about this? What do you think about her?”
‘She always asks, “Is she The One. You know I want a baby before I pass away?”’
In the past, Giovanni has dated stars including Maura Higgins, Georgia May Foote and Ashley Roberts.
